We are developing a package which will be keenly priced and will include
- A simple but effective no-frills website giving Home page, Products page, About Us page, Contact Us page with form
- A database to manage customers, contacts made with them and invoicing etc
This will be achieved by using off-the-peg web design (with customisable colours and logo graphics) and a small business database built using OpenOffice.org.
OpenOffice.org is Open Source and is therefore freely downloadable. It is fully compatible with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint and has its own flexible relational database system to replace MS Access.
CRM = Customer Relations Management
Currently we are working towards launching Sugar CRM hosting and support. We use Sugar CRM Community Edition in house and believe that its extensive capabilities will provide the functions required by many of our customers. It is great for:
Sales:
- Sharing sales data across individuals and teams
- Managing Leads, Contacts and Accounts
- Focusing attention on the most profitable deals
- Bringing new sales representatives up to speed
- Monitoring quota progress and business performance
Marketing:
- Creating and executing campaigns across marketing channels
- Capturing leads directly into CRM System from a website (especially good with eZ Publish)
- Measuring return on investment of campaigns
Customer Service:
- Centrally managing and sharing all customer service issues
- Understand frequency of incidents to improve product quality
- Share information across individuals and teams
- Measure the responsiveness of customer support
Sugar CRM is available as an Open Source solution or with licensed versions at two levels.
